To set up User Preferences, you have to click on “Archive” and select “Preferences“ in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen, both for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X.
GENERAL OPTIONS:
General Options Panel, allows to define general view options. Thanks to it, it is possible to set:
Units of measure and increments:
Units of Measure: deal with the unit of measure used in the Plan. It can be set to millimeters (mm), Inches or Points (Pts);
Keyboard increment;
Grid snap area.
Issue modification check:
Enable Modification Check: it enables a check for all the modifications made into the Plan. Each modification will be notified: a notification will be displayed in the notification area at the bottom of the Plan
Check Interval: this option allows the user to select the interval between checks for modifications in the Plan (in seconds).
VIEW OPTIONS:
Thanks to different View options, you can create various view sets and change them at will. For example, it is possible to have a defined preset set to do some activities and then switch to another with a different view option to do others.
View presets, along with Print presets and Preview presets, are stored locally on the user's system.
At the top of the panel you can find a dropdown list showing all the available presets. In order to identify the preset in us. it has an asterisk next to its name (*).
You can CREATE new presets by clicking on “Add” next to the list. If you want to DELETE one of them, you just have to click on “Delete” which is next to “Add”. You can not delete the preset in use! If you want to delete the preset in use you have to temporarly choose another preset to delete the one you are not interested in.
The View presets panel is divided in various tabs: View, Editorial, Advertising, Elements, and Pages.
VIEW TAB:
Zoom: shows the zoom level. The default level is 100% but it can be set as high as 5000% and as low as 25%;
Pages per line: number of pages per each line. The default number is 16, nut it can be as low as 1. Moreover, if you want you can see all the pages on the same line;
Advertising previews: this option enables you to show/hide advertising previews. By default, it is enabled;
Editorial previews: this option enables you to show/hide editorial previews. By default, it is enabled;
Advertising format: this option enables you to chose the advertising format.
Show grid: this option shows/hides grid lines on the Plan. By default, it is enabled;
Insert icons: this option shows/hides the Insert icons on the Plan. By default, it is enabled;
Show headers: this option shows/hides the header panel on top of the Plan. By default, it is enabled;
Ad info on page: this option allows to focus on Editorials (Editorial View) or Adverts (Advertising View). By default, it is set up Editorial View.
Start line with right page: this option allow to show editorial with right page
EDITORIAL TAB (FONT):
Font type: this options allows to select a Font Type for the text displayed;
Font size: this options allows to select a Font Size for the text displayed.
ADVERTISING TAB:
Font:
Font type: this options allows to select a Font Tipe for the text displayed;
Font size: this options allows to select a Font Size for the text displayed.
Ad status: this option allows to choose how to display the ad status:
Do not show Ad status: the Ad status is not shown;
Show Ad status as icon: the Ad status is shown as an icon inside the advert;
Color the entire Ad format: the Ad status is shown by coloring the entire ad format.

Show quantity;
Show data.
