To create a new editorial from scratch, it is necessary to follow the steps below:

1) Open the an Issue and choose the tab “Editorials

2) Click on the icon containing a green +; 
 

 

3) Fill in the fields in the window showing up on the left side of the screen ;

FieldDescription
Titlethe title The name of your editorial
File the The file name (the name which is given to the InDesign file when created) is . It's automatically filled in by TIMONE System based on rules that can be predefined in the administration modulethe given Title
Quantitythe The number of pages of the editorial (this quantity can be changed also later)
Notesadditional Additional notes about the editorial
Sectionthe The section you want assigned to the editorial to be associated with
Dossierthe The WoodWing Enterprise dossier the editorial shall be contained ininto
Templatethe The layout template you want assigned to use the editorial for creating the InDesign file in the editorial system (the same layout templates are available in both TIMONE Plan and editorial system - be carefully they are written in the same name in the administration of TIMONE System and of the editorial system). If you do not
Status the The workflow status of the editorial (the part of the workflow which expects planning and production to be synchronized with one another, will have identical workflow steps in both TIMONE Plan and editorial system). In TIMONE Plan you can also have additional workflow steps (for example "Only planned", when the editorial service is only planned but not yet in production). The status is automatically assigned to editorials based on their work in progress. If the editorial has an InDesign file/layout associated with it, TIMONE Plan reflects the work in progress of the file in the production system.. The first status assigned to an editorial is usually a status which is not part of the editorial system (i.e. Only Planned, Plan, ecc.)


4) Once you have filled in all the information you need, confirm using the green tick on the upper left side of the panel.
   


5) After having been created, the The new editorial becomes available within the Editorials list.

Tip
If you want that the new Editorial (i.e. Editorial1) becomes available in the production environment as an InDesign file, choose also the "Template" you want to use for creating the InDesign file and please consult . Read also Synchronizing from TIMONE Plan to the production system for further information.


Tip
Another way to create an editorial is to duplicate an existing one
